We have been living in our van for three months now, and we wanted to share the items we have purchased to make life easier on the road. As we transitioned out of a 2,400 square foot house into a 64 square foot van, we wanted to purchase as little as possible. Surely, some of our items from our house would work in the van! We purchased or were gifted a few items but the majority of our van is filled from items we previously owned. Score!

What a birthday present, the van was purchased on Andrew’s birthday in 2018. We were supposed to take a backpacking trip that weekend, but the weather predicted snow and freezing temperatures. So we looked for vans and planned our layout all weekend. We were leaning towards a Ram Promaster, and had been searching online in our area for something with low mileage. We came across a trade-in at a Nissan dealership less than an hour from our house. We went to check it out and a few hours later we were the proud (and slightly terrified) owners of a big, white, empty cargo van. We were famished from all the stressors of making such a large purchase, so we went to grab some dinner. As we sat there, we contemplated names. We wanted it to mean something to us and be a little funny too.
We are so excited to share this project with you. We have enjoyed connecting on Instagram but have really needed a way to share more details with you. We will be creating pages about our van build and blog posts about vanlife and our travels. Hope you enjoy!
